Next-generation AXIS glass
AXIS is Garmin’s retrofit-oriented flight display family — highly integrated PFD/MFD layouts with synthetic vision, widgets, and a familiar Garmin interface modernized for touch and bezel controls.
Upgrade path from G3X Touch
Same panel cutouts and mounting points as G3X Touch on many installs, with broad sensor and navigator compatibility so the shop can reuse work where the airframe allows.
Quoted as a display path
AHRS, air data, EIS, and autopilot interfaces are scoped with the airframe. The display, sensors, and install are written up on the work order.
Typical install notes
- •11.6″ landscape touchscreen with physical controls and a dedicated EMER button.
- •Configurable as PFD or MFD; EIS when engine sensors are part of the install.
- •Compatible with many G3X Touch sensors, navigators, and radios.
- •TSO unit; AML STC covers hundreds of Part 23 Class I/II piston models.
Base AXIS glass when the panel already has (or will keep) a separate IFR navigator and radios. Shares G3X Touch cutouts and mounting points for a streamlined upgrade path.
