Engine data on the glass you fly
GEA 24 brings CHT, EGT, fuel, and related sensors into G3X Touch or GI 275 EIS configurations so engine monitoring lives with the rest of the panel.
PMA and experimental paths
FAA-PMA GEA 24 covers typical certificated GI 275 / G3X Touch EIS installs. Experimental GEA 24B applies on EAB/LSA G3X paths when that unit is the approved interface — confirm which SKU the airframe requires before ordering.
Sensor kits follow the engine
Probe and transducer selection depends on the powerplant. The quote lists the kit, wiring, and calibration — not just the interface box.
Typical install notes
- •Interfaces engine/airframe sensors to Garmin EIS displays (GI 275 EIS, G3X Touch, and related).
- •Certificated paths typically use the FAA-PMA GEA 24; experimental G3X paths may use GEA 24B — the quote names the approved unit for the airframe.
- •Probe and transducer kits vary by engine (Lyc/Cont, turbo, etc.).
- •Not a stand-alone gauge — requires an approved Garmin display configuration.
- •Calibration and return-to-service are part of the EIS work order.
Specified when a glass refresh includes engine indicating — probes, transducers, and display software are scoped to the engine and airframe.
