IFR GPS plus a VHF comm without a separate radio — a tidy stack when VOR/ILS can live elsewhere or is not needed in the same unit.
Know when you need a GTN instead
Choose a GTN 650Xi/750Xi when the work order requires VHF navigation in the same navigator. The GNC 355 is GPS+comm by design.
Pairs with ADS-B and glass
Commonly installed with a GTX 345 and G5 or GI 275 so compliance and instruments move forward in one shop visit.
Typical install notes
- •IFR GPS plus VHF communications transceiver.
- •No built-in VHF navigation (use a GTN Xi when VOR/ILS in the same box is required).
- •Often installed with a GTX ADS-B transponder and G5/GI 275 instruments.
- •Antenna and audio interconnects are part of the quote.
Specified as a GPS+comm replacement when VOR/ILS will live on a second navigator or is not required in the same unit.
